Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Bullitt County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission may be kept long enough to answer and manage the correspondence. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may automatically receive basic technical and usage details:
- Page-view dates, times, and duration
- Device type and operating system
- Browser type and version
- IP address assigned to the device
- Pages viewed during the visit
- The referring website, when available

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Bullitt County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It explains how to reach the Bullitt County sheriff, the county's District and Circuit courts, the Kentucky State Police Criminal Identifications and Records Branch, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. Access to government records remains subject to the Kentucky Open Records Act and law-enforcement dissemination limits in KRS Chapter 17. Visitor information is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal dossiers, and the website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Their own privacy policies govern any information submitted there, including retention and sharing. We do not control those practices. Read the provider's policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Bullitt County sheriff, Kentucky courts, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy terms apply. Review them before providing personal details.
Advertising partners may use their systems to track activity across websites for targeted advertising. That processing does not occur on systems controlled by Bullitt County Criminal History.

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be shared with:

How We Protect Your Data

Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If a minor is believed to have submitted information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Data Rights
Kentucky consumer-protection law, including the Kentucky Consumer Protection Act in KRS Chapter 367, may provide rights or remedies depending on the facts and the visitor's place of residence. A visitor may at least ask to:
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate
- Receive a copy of personal information held about them
- Opt out of certain processing where a right applies
- Request deletion of personal information
